I. Purpose of the meeting
Echoing the Paris Agreement and the Global Carbon Reduction Vision, Taiwan is one of the few countries in the world that incorporates greenhouse gas reduction targets into legal regulations. From the Central Ministry to local governments and private enterprises, they have adopted specific measures in accordance with the "Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Management Law" Climate action. Many Chinese companies have responded to international appeals and joined global corporate initiatives (such as: 100% Renewable Energy Initiative (RE100), 100% Vehicle Electrification (EV100) and Scientific Carbon Target Initiative (SBTi), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Wait). The Environmental Protection Agency of the Chinese Academy of Sciences invited six municipal governments and non-governmental enterprises actively promoting specific carbon reduction actions to take part in the event, share their implementation experience and successful cases, and specially handle this seminar.
